Antler Travels: Berlin, Germany

At Antler, we don’t just talk about travel – we live it. Our Antler Travels series takes you deeper into the destinations that move us, guided by the experiences and recommendations of our team – travellers who’ve ventured far and wide.

Berlin doesn’t ask to be cool – it just is. Between the bold architecture, boundary-pushing art, and a food scene that’s as global as it is grounded in local culture, the German capital is a city built for wandering and wondering. Sheenal, from Antler’s Finance team, spent time solo exploring and came back with an edit worth saving.

Eat & Drink

Father Carpenter

The perfect pre-exploration brunch spot. Come for the pulled pork Benedict and stay for the top-tier coffee.

Barra Berlin

Seasonal, small plates in a minimalist space, with a lean towards locally sourced ingredients. Gnocchi and wine were a dream. Don't skip dessert: ricotta ice cream and olive oil cake.

Slice Society

Looking for some hands-free sustenance while exploring the city? Look no further than this iconic pizza joint. The pepperoni hits the spot, but the olive oil sundae might steal the show.

Stay & Explore

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

Centrally located and steps from public transport, it’s a great central hub for getting out and about in the city. For solo female travellers, it’s a secure, easy base with a great view.

Museum Island

Yes, you read that right. Five museums, one location. A full-day culture fix, there’s plenty to fill an itinerary here from ancient artefacts to neoclassical sculpture.

Baret Roof Terrace

For panoramic views and sunset sips, this is the ideal spot for ending a day of exploring.

Berlin Bunker Tour

For those who like a healthy dose of history on their travels, this was a chilling, deeply immersive look at Berlin’s darker past. Thought-provoking and worth the visit.

Voo Store

One of Berlin’s best concept stores. Expect high-style pieces, minimal interiors, and statement fashion that feels native to the city.

Sheenal’s tip: Bring enough luggage space to fit in some trinkets (and keep them protected) on the way home. Sheenal travelled with the Icon Stripe Expandable Cabin, and the Overnight bag for her carry-on.

Markethalle Neun

A lively indoor market packed with food vendors and local flavour. Try the cheesecake – it’s Sheenal-approved.

Unwind

Fotografiska Berlin

A creative sanctuary of photography and culture. Browse the exhibits, then unwind at the in-house café and shop.

East Side Gallery

Walk alongside history and art – Berlin’s iconic wall, now a living mural. Park yourself riverside for a moment of calm.

Lustgarten

A peaceful park with a perfect view of the Berlin Cathedral. Sit, read, breathe.

Sheenal’s tip: Watch your step when moving around the city – and don’t walk in the bike lanes unless you want to learn a few German phrases the hard way.
